The chilling discovery of his body hanging in the bathroom sent shockwaves through the hospital staff and cast a deep shadow of grief over his family.
Bapi Malik, a resident of Uluberia Birshibpur Rauta, had been battling severe breathing issues and was under medical care at the hospital. According to sources at the hospital, he had been seen heading towards the bathroom at approximately 3 p.m. on the day of the incident. However, the staff’s worst fears were realized when Bapi's lifeless body was found moments later, hanging from a towel around his neck.
The tragic incident has raised serious concerns regarding hospital security and patient supervision. While the exact circumstances leading to his death are still under investigation, Bapi's family is left grappling with the loss. His mother, Aarti Malik, expressed her deep sorrow, suggesting that the immense physical pain her son endured could have led him to take such a drastic step.
She stated, "He was in a lot of pain. It seems he couldn't bear it anymore. He was undergoing treatment, but the suffering became too much for him."
