Father Dies in Pandua Incident a Day Before Math Exam, Daughter Appears for Secondary Exams
Don't Miss
Baby Chakraborty, KalimNews, February 13, 2025, Hooghly: In a tragic turn of events, a young girl in Hooghly displayed remarkable resilience as she sat for her secondary school mathematics examination just a day after losing her father. Muskan Khatun, a student of Pandua Hatni High School, left her father’s body at home to appear for her exam at Baichi Batika High School, determined to fulfill her late father’s dream of seeing her succeed academically.
Her father, Abdul Kayem, a farmer from Tarajal village, had always encouraged Muskan to pursue her studies and build an independent future. His sudden demise due to a heart attack on Friday came as a devastating blow. However, Muskan chose to honor his aspirations by focusing on her exam, even as preparations for his last rites took place simultaneously.
The news of her father’s passing reached Batika Baichi Panchayat Deputy Chief Diptendu Banerjee, who took immediate steps to ensure Muskan faced no difficulties during her examination. He arranged for necessary medical support, including an ambulance, in case she felt unwell at the exam center. Banerjee expressed his condolences and admiration for Muskan’s mental strength, stating, “It is heartbreaking that her father is not present for this crucial moment. She may face many hardships ahead, but for now, she remains determined to complete her exams.”
The incident has moved the local community, with many rallying behind Muskan to support her in this challenging time. Authorities and well-wishers hope she continues to demonstrate the same resilience in pursuing her dreams.
