BJP Leader Bharati Ghosh Reacts Strongly After Name Appears in CBI Chargesheet

Baby Chakraborty, KalimNews, February 15, 2025, Kolkata :  BJP leader Bharati Ghosh has strongly refuted allegations after her name appeared in a CBI chargesheet related to recruitment corruption. Once a close confidante of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during her tenure as Superintendent of Police in Paschim Medinipur, Bharati later joined the BJP. The CBI claims that she recommended a list of four individuals for employment, along with Trinamool Congress leaders Dibyendu Adhikari and Mamata Thakur.

In response to the allegations, Bharati Ghosh dismissed the claims as an attempt to tarnish her reputation, stating, “If my name has surfaced, call me, speak to me. I have always worked within the law, and I am not afraid of anyone.” She expressed frustration that her efforts to help individuals in need were now being scrutinized and misrepresented.

The CBI's chargesheet has intensified political tensions, with the central agency highlighting the involvement of both BJP and Trinamool leaders in alleged recruitment malpractice. The investigation continues to unfold, with further developments expected as the case progresses.
