Baby Chakraborty, KalimNews, October 24, 2024, Alipurduar: Authorities were alerted to a grim scene on Wednesday morning when the body of a night watchman, identified as 47-year-old Amar Dey, was discovered hanging in the quarters of the Kamakhyagudi Sub-Division office of the Works Department.
Upon receiving the report, police from the Kamakhyagudi outpost swiftly arrived at the scene. They recovered the body and transported it to Kamakhyaguri Rural Hospital, where a doctor pronounced him dead. Subsequently, the body was sent to the district hospital for a post-mortem examination.
In light of the circumstances surrounding the incident, the Kamakhyaguri outpost police have registered a case of unusual death and launched an investigation to uncover the details leading up to this tragic event. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
