Surprises Await in Anubrata as Birbhum Prepares for Chief Minister's Visit
Don't Miss
Baby Chakraborty, KalimNews, September 23, 2024, Birbhum : Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to visit Birbhum district on Tuesday, prompting final preparations across the area. An administrative meeting will take place at Gitanjali Theater at 1 PM, following a site visit by district police and administrative officials on Monday.
After the meeting, the Chief Minister will stay overnight at the Rangabitan guest house, where security arrangements are also nearing completion. Notably, Anubrata Mondal is expected to return to the district on the same day after his release from Tihar Jail. Following his return, he is likely to head straight to Kolkata before coming back to Birbhum later in the evening.
With Anubrata’s return, there’s a palpable sense of optimism in Bolpur and throughout Birbhum. The local community, particularly in Nichupatti, eagerly anticipates the homecoming of their district president. “Photos of Anubrata Mondal and Mamata Banerjee are prominently displayed around Birbhum, particularly in Bolpur,” stated state minister Chandranath Singh.
Trinamool leaders in Birbhum are convening an emergency meeting to discuss the party's next steps, primarily focusing on the plans following Anubrata's return. Bolpur has been adorned with welcoming decorations, including large cutouts of Anubrata, also known as Kest, with his arms raised in celebration.
Family members of Anubrata, including his daughter Sukanya, are reportedly in Delhi to greet him upon his release, alongside former Zilla Parishad chief Karim Khan and member Pradeep Bhakat, who are also awaiting his arrival.
