Prashant Acharya, EOI, SILIGURI, JULY 20, 2024 : A Pakistani national and two Nepalese nationals were held at the Indo-Nepal border inKharibari.by jawans of the SSB No. 41 Battalion patrolling the border on Friday evening.
They intercepted a four-wheeler from Nepal and detained three people for inconsistency in the interrogation. The three persons held included Mohhamad Saifullah(46), a resident of the Mardan district of Pakistan, and Man Bahadur Thapa (51) and Megh Bahadur Mangar (40), both residents of Nepal.
Later SSB handed over the three to Kharibari police. According to police sources, they pleaded that Saifullah had a security firm in Dubai and worked jointly with the two people from Nepal. Saifullah came to Itahari for an interview in Nepal on Thursday. Later all the three left for the Ilam district of eastern Nepal. They came to Panitanki to repair their car. The police seized a car. They will try to corroborate the story and also find out if there was any other motive behind their visit.
