BJP to give justice to Gorkhas, says Raju Bista

YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, APRIL 24, 2024 : BJP candidate for Darjeeling Lok Sabha seat Raju Bista said on Wednesday that only the BJP would give justice to Gorkhas. His victory was certain as he was the BJP candidate for the Darjeeling seat, he said. 

The BJP would fulfil all the commitments and collective aspirations. The other candidates for the seat representing the Congress had been oppressing the Gorkhas since the1980s and the Trinamool Congress which was campaigning under the umbrella of the Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha.

“Seeing the love of the people in such a situation, last time I won with a margin of 400,000 votes and this time I will win with a bigger margin,”Bista said.

The BJP candidate campaigned in the Kalimpong district on the last day of campaigning and also held a road show in Kalimpong town. Alliance partners of the BJP, the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, the Gorkha National Liberation Front, the Communist Party of Revolutionary Marxists and others were present in the campaign. 

“The warmth, love and affection shown by the people inspire and energize me. I am most grateful to the people of Lava who showered their blessings upon me, shared their solidarity and support,” he said.

“Lava, Pedong, Algara and the entire Kalimpong and Darjeeling hills and Siliguri, the Terai and the Dooars regions are blessed by Gods. We are known for our natural beauty and our kind people. I have the vision of making our region one of the most developed, inclusive and prosperous in the country,” he said
