BJP has done nothing for the Gorkhas, says Munish Tamang

RAJESH SHARMA, KalimNews, JAIGAON, APRIL 24, 2024 : Dr. Munish Tamang Congress candidate for the Darjeeling Lok Sabha seat campaigned in the Kalimpong district on Wednesday, the last day of the campaigning.
Hamro Party President Ajoy Edwards accompanied him. He said the BJP had done nothing for the Gorkhas for the past 15 years.
Munish Tamang and Ajoy Edwards led a convoy of several cars from Darjeeling to Kalimpong. They stopped at various places, held street-corner meetings and also talked to local people; appealing for votes.
Tamang said the Congress was the only party that worked for the Gorkha community in the past. Dr Munish Tamang appealed the people to vote for Congress to bring about the much-needed change they said Darjeeling had been looking for.
He also pleaded to exercise peoples voting right peacefully and consciously without being intimated.
