Ajoy Edwards welcomes High Court directive on CBI investigation in teacher appointment in GTA schools
YAWAN GURUNG, EOI, MIRIK, APRIL 10, 2024 : Hamro Party President Ajoy Edwards has welcomed the Calcutta High Court order on Tuesday, directing a CBI investigation into illegal appointment of teachers in schools under the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration.
The court expressed dissatisfaction with the progress in police investigation into the irregular appointments and directed the CBI to submit its report within two weeks.
“Hamro Party has been strongly opposing corruption since the formation of the party,” Edwards said.
“Hamro Party has been saying that its unemployed teachers, young women, brothers and sisters should get employment; but they should get it on the basis of merit according to the government rules.
The Hamro Party has been protesting against the motivated appointment of politically connected teachers in schools in the GTA region
