A seven member media team from Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh embark on five-day VBSY Press Tour to Delhi

PIB, Gangtok, 4 JAN 2024: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) - A Government of India initiative, launched on 15th November, 2023 has been instrumental in raising awareness and tracking of the implementation of flagship central schemes across India. 

In this regard, Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India is conducting press tours for the media persons from their respective states to another state to create greater awareness about these Government Flagship Schemes & Projects and providing them an opportunity to see for themselves the development process and the change happening at field level after the implementation of these schemes. These tours also facilitate media persons to exchange ideas and information with the press fraternity of different regions.

As a part of this initiative, two teams of media persons are on their way to Delhi from Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, to witness and experience the changes VBSY has brought in the lives of the common people and interact with such beneficiaries and bring their story to the light.

It is also pertinent to mention that these media teams from Sikkim & Arunachal Pradesh will be on a 5-day tour (14th Jan - 18th Jan, 2024) to Delhi. The name of the journalists from Sikkim team are Shekhar Khawas, Sujal Pradhan, Nitesh Pradhan, Dilli Ram Dulal and Nirmal Mangar. The Arunachal Pradesh team consists of Yomge Chisi and Nipjyoti Kalita.
