2 students from Sikkim,1 from Nepal, missing from Gujarat school
Prakash Adhikari and Sujal Pradhan, EOI, Gangtok, 9 September 2023 : Two students from
Sikkim, Paljor Tamang and Devraj Subba, both 15 years
old, and one from Nepal, were missing from Nautanpuri Dham School in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on August 28.
Paljor and Devraj, both eighth-grade students, had
recently enrolled in the school. They were last seen at 11
am on the day they went missing. Local authorities and
the parents of the students have been searching for clues
about their whereabouts.
The families of the missing
students have accused the school of failing to provide
sufficient information regarding the missing students.
CCTV footage showed the three, including one from
Nepal, were purchasing a ticket for Delhi at Jaipur
Railway Station.
Despite intensive efforts, they remained
untraceable. With no mobile phones to track, authorities
were meticulously examining CCTV footage from various
Delhi railway stations, sources said. It has been learnt
from a police team tracking them that their route was from
Khijda temple to Khambhaliya Railway Station, where
they boarded an Okha Jaipur train on the same day.
Political Secretary to the Chief Minister of Sikkim Jacob
Khaling said in a Press release that Chief Minister Prem
Singh Tamang had talked with the Resident
Commissioner of Delhiand asked him to maintain
coordination with the Gujarat police.
The Gujarat Police
in their search investigation had reported that on
September 6 a four- member police team left for Delhi
from Jaipur. There was high probability that the boys were
presently in Delhi.
