Polling procedure running comparatively slow : Poll percentage 42.13 percent till 3 pm

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 July 2023, 4.00 pm: Till 3 pm the polling percentage is 42.13 percent that indicates it is slower from the very beginning in almost all the polling stations.
Comparatively to other election due to use of ballot paper and ballot box the process of poll is progressing very slowly.
The electors turn out is satisfactory but due to slow process electors are forced to wait in the queue for a long time. voting till 1 pm in the district of Kalimpong. So far no report of untoward incident and disturbance in the polling process is reported from any of the 262 polling stations of the district.
Of the four blocks in the district, the highest poll percentage till 3 pm is 46.10 percent in Kalimpong. The others are 41.54 in Pedong, 41.45 in Lava and 39.43 percent in Gorubathan Block.
