Poll percentage rose to 29.96 till 1 pm.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 July 2023, 1.00 pm: About 29.96 percent electors turned out for voting till 1 pm in the district of Kalimpong. So far no report of untoward incident and diturbance in the polling process is reported from any of the 262 polling stations of the district.

 

In Kalimpong election is being conducted in 262 polling stations . Of these there are 29 polling stations in Pedong Block, 52 in Lava, 68 in Gorubathan and 113 in Kalimpong Blocks.

So far till 11 am the rate of poll in the district is 29.96 percent. In the Block of Kalimpong, it is 32.80, in Gorubathan it is 28.21, in Lava it is 28.19 and in Pedong it is 28.33 percent.

The votes cast in each block is as follows: In Kalimpong Block  there are 32719 male and 33826 female voters (total-66545) out of which 11106 male and 10723 female voters (total 21829) exercised their voting right.

In Gorubathan there are 25220 male and 25934 female voters (total-51154) out of which 7012 male and 7417 female voters (total 14429) exercised their voting right.

In Pedong Block there are 12350 male and 12031 female voters (total-24381) out of which 3393 male and 3514 female voters (total 6907) exercised their voting right. 

In Lava Block there are 17065 male and 16497 female voters (total-33562) out of which 4737 male and 4724 female voters (total 9461) exercised their voting right.
