10 injured in accident on NH 10

Sanjay Agarwal, EOI, RANGPO, JULY 7, 2023 : Ten people were injured in a collision between a bus and a Xylo vehicle near Mam Khola between Rangpo-Malli on National Highway 10 on Friday morning.
The drivers of both the vehicles were injured in the accident. The Sikkim Nationalized Transport bus was on its way to Siliguri from Gangtok while the Xylo taxi was going from Siliguri to Gangtok. The injured people were rescued by the Teesta Rangit Rescue Team and brought to Rangpo Primary Health Centre.
The condition of the bus driver Kiran Barailly was stated to be critical. He was referred to the STNM Hospital, Gangtok.
The Rangpo Police helped the passengers in reaching their destinations. Officials of Rangpo SNT reached the spot and also provided assistance to the passengers. The West BengalPolice were inquiring into the cause of the accident
