
Wide Angle, AMWJU reach out to violence victims

A total of 720 violence victims from Moreh and Churachandpur are being sheltered at Akampat relief camp in Imphal East.
IFP, 23 June 2023, Imphal: The Wide Angle Social Development Organisation along with the All Manipur Working Journalist Union (AMWJU) on Friday distributed relief materials at Akampat relief camp in Imphal East.
The Wide Angle stated in a release that a total of 720 victims from Moreh and Churachandpur are being sheltered in the said camp.
Since the communal violence broke out, various camps have been set up and organised in many parts for the state where people are taking refuge due to the ongoing communal violence, it added.
It also mentioned that the donation was done by Sakal Social Foundation which was initiated by Dr Marconi of Dhani Type Writing Institute.
The relief goods consisted of rice, onion, potato, drinking water, fermented fish (Ngari), soap and sanitary pad.
Apart from this, relief materials were also distributed at Maklang, New Keithelmanbi, Konthoujam, Yaingangpokpi and Phayeng relief camps, the release stated.
