GTA seeks help of Babul Supriyo to solve tourism problems in Kalimpong

YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, JUNE 2, 2023 : In a meeting with West Bengal Tourism Minister Babul Supriyo on Friday, a team of Hill Trinamool Congress of Darjeeling District and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Tourism Sabhasad Suman Gurung mentioned to the Minister about problems facing the tourism sector in Kalimpong like roads, new tourism destinations, health and hygiene and the safety of tourists.
The Tourism Minister is now on a visit to Kalimpong. Suman Gurung suggested to Babul Supriyo steps that could develop the tourism sector in Kalimpong, like a zip line to be constructed from Puje Danda to Deurali and GTA seeks help of Babul Supriyo to solve tourism problems in Kalimpong rock climbing in constituency no. 35 of GTA.
The Minister said he would work towards solving those problems. He also told the team of Trinamool that he will do his best to solve the problem.
Addressing reporters after the meeting with the Minister, Suman Gurung said that the meeting with the Minister of Tourism was fruitful.
