Girl from Darjeeling now a commercial pilot

PRASHANT ACHARYA, EOI, SILIGURI, APRIL 11, 2023 : Sakshi Pradhan, (23) who had grown up in an ordinary environment in Darjeeling, has made the entire hills proud by becoming a commercial pilot. 

Born in May 2000 and the only child of Rukesh Mani Pradhan and Bandana Mukhiya living in D. B. Giri Path, Darjeeling, she had studied at Bethany School, 

Darjeeling, and Loreto Convent, and then enrolled at Delhi Public School to study science subjects. Since childhood, she wanted to be a skilled pilot. 

After being selected for the Indigo Cadet Pilot Training Programme 2019, she also did courses in Arizona, the USA, and trained in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, under the DGCA. Later she successfully completed training in flying A-320 aircraft in Abu Dhabi'

Agencies: Sakshi Pradhan, born on 10th May 2000, is the only child of local D.B. Giri Path (The Printmaster) Darjeeling resident Mr. Rukesh Mani Pradhan and Mrs. Bandana Mukhiya (Pradhan). Starting his primary level school at Bethany school Darjeeling after IC2S2C20 from Loreto Convent School. Passed the exam. He enrolled in Delhi Public School Siliguri to study science subjects at higher secondary level and from there he passed the AIISSCEE examination simple, discipline loving and straightforward professionally rich as a result of passing his entire school exams in top ranks as well as Sakshi Pradhan a skilled student life And she had a strong desire to become a skilled pilot.

After being selected for the Indigo Cadet Pilot Training Program in 2019, she successfully obtained a license as a commercial aircraft in New Delhi through Skyborne Aviation Limited, then in Arizona (Phoenix) in the United States of Arizona, in the United States (2019-20) successfully trained as an airlinee (FA20) USA. Later further trained under DGCAA under DGCA of Government of India in Pantanagar, Uttarakhand after DGCA approved him to obtain license as Indian Commercial Airlines.

Shortly after receiving license as an Indian commercial aircraft, she successfully achieved typing training of A-320 aircraft from Etiyad Airways located in Abudabi, UAE18 after delay in Covid lockdown.

Currently appointed as A-320 Junior First Officer during a grand graduation ceremony (Graduation Ceremony) organized by Indigo Airlines at his head office located in Gurugram New Delhi on 15th March 2023.

It is not possible for everyone to train as a pilot physically, intellectually and financially yet Darjeeling at such a young age as a result of his steadfast will power, indomitable courage, effort and hard work till today entering a new field for our home society. Ms. Sakshi Pradhan has been an inspiration for the entire students and youth society by getting a commercial aircraft license for the first time from the hill by getting this position as a commercial aircase.
