4 of Gangtok killed as car collides with pick-up van


EOI, SILIGURI, MARCH 6, 2023 :  Four people were killed as their taxi collided with a pick-van in the Seventh Mile in Siliguri, close to the Bengal Safari Park. The taxi was on the way to Siliguri from Sikkim. 
The pick-up van was heading in the opposite direction. One of the passengers in the taxi died on the spot while three others were rushed to a nursing home on Sevoke Road in Silguri where they were declared dead. 
The driver of the taxi escaped with minor injuries. The deceased were identified as Arun Chetri, Vikas Gupta, Sagar Tamang and Vinod Rai. Police said they were trying to locate Arun's address, while the rest were residents of Gangtok.
