PRAKASH ADHIKARI, EOI, GANGTOK, FEBRUARY 11, 2023 : The Sikkim Tourism and Civil Aviation Department has identified some websites and web pages of tourism service providers, hoteliers, including those under government departments, public sector units and private agencies and organizations to contain unsubstantiated and incorrect matters which are detrimental to the peace and tranquility in the State and may disrupt social harmony.
The Tourism Department said in a notification on Saturday that the web page links should be shared with the Department within 10 days for verification and correction.
It may be mentioned that the Sikkim Government has set up a committee to examine government and private websites operating within the State and ensure that these do not create disharmony, nor disturb tranquility.
