SUV crashes in Jholung, driver killed

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 27 January 2023: A Savari that ran a daily service from Jholung to Siliguri toppled due to mechanical failure in Parentar and its lone driver was killed.
The Shuv Yatra SUV after dropping its passengers was returning via Parentar to Jholung in the night at about 10 pm. The driver Nima Majhi lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle left the road and it toppled. Driver Nima died on the spot.
The road is a bypass road from Jholung to Todey Tangta via Parentar and is very steep and it was a major accident on the road.
