Nepali film `Jeeudo' bags three NB Cine Awards

SNS, SILIGURI, 29 DECEMBER 2022: The much-loved and highly rated Nepali movie Jeeudo, has won three awards in general categories in the recently- held NBC Awards, the most prestigious cine award show in North Bengal. 

In the North Bengal Cine Awards ceremony held at Dinabandhu Mancha in Siliguri on 21 December, Chanchal Thapa and Sayantan Nag bagged the award for the Most Influencing Editor, while Rajat Biswas won the award for the Most Influencing Music Director for ',Jeeudo." 

Aalmist Subba, the actor and director of "Jeeudo", won the award for the Most Influencing Director at the NBC Awards. 

"The North Bengal Cine Awards aims to bring together filmmakers, artists, YouTubers and technicians from North Bengal. All movie makers from North Bengal with varied languages, including Nepali, Hindi, Bengali, Rajbanshi, Adibasi etc, were nominated and felicitated for their contribution to Arts and Cinema," Mr Suhba said. 

According to hint, apart from the felicitation and recognition, the awards were on General Categories and did not include any specific category like normal award shows. "It excluded these specific categories (best actor/ actress/film/script/song/writer /story etc. 

The organisers plan to come up with these awards too, soon. However, they need mote support and sponsors to make it a bigger and grander event," Mr Subba added.
