Binoy Tamang keeps political options open
EOI, SILIGURI, DECEMBER 29, 2022: After snapping ties with Trinamool Congress, leader from the Darjeeling hills Binoy Tamang is keeping his options open about his next political move.
“I am a political player. Now even if the Trinamool Congress corrects its mistakes I will not return to the party. My words did not get any importance there. But whether it is a big club or a small club I will join,” Binoy Tamang said in Siliguri on Thursday while talking to news persons.
His comment has given rise to speculation that Binoy Tamang could either return to the fold of his old party Gorkha Janmukti Morcha or join the newly formed Hamro Party.
He said the hills had now become a den of corruption. “All limits of corruption have been crossed. There was no buying or selling of public representatives in the hills before. To record my protest against this, I am leaving the party."
