GTA distributes poly greenhouses to Kalimpong farmers

YOWAN MOTHAY | EOI | KALIMPONG | NOV 27, 2022: The Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department has distributed 200 poly green houses in the Sindebong,
Pudung and Dungra gram panchayat areas under samasti no. 36 of Kalimpong as part of delivering departmental government concessions to farmers.. Farmer of Sindebong Suren Bhujel said on Sunday it was easy to prepare plants inside the poly green houses and anyone could be encouraged to do farming in this way. Suren Bhujel, who is an enterprising farmer, has prepared thousands of seedlings of tomato, broccoli, cabbage and other vegetables in the poly green houses received from the department as a concession, together with seeds and other implements.
On Sunday, the programme of distributing seedlings by farmers to other farmers was also completed at Sindebong Ghate Khola complex in the presence of GTA Sabhasad Bikash Rai. Coordinator of the event Mamta Gurung said under the leadership of GTA chief Anit Thapa all the farmers were getting many concessions and facilities through the horticulture department of the GTA
