Higher Secondary Examination Questions will be set 2020: Questions will be set

PTI, Calcutta, 24 September 2022 : West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education issued guidelines with detailed information about the setting of question paper for 2023. All the subjects will follow the same Syllabus and Question Pattern as was followed in 2020 and earlier before the COVID period. 

The council has uploaded detailed information on how the question paper will be set on all the  subjects. Basically objective, multiple choice, explanatory questions will be set in the same format as in 2020 or earlier. Each subject's question paper consists mostly of objective or multiple choice type questions. Project work will also be included from the year 2023. Project work of 20 marks in some subjects and 30 marks in some subjects will be included in the syllabus. In 2021 due to the Corona situation the examination was not conducted and in 2022 i.e. the current year the syllabus is reduced. 

The question paper format was also changed along with it. Speaking in this context, President of Council of Higher Secondary Education Chiranjeev Bhattacharya said, "After overcoming the Corona situation, life is returning to the normal rhythm. Keeping everything in mind, we are going back to the old rules. Several boards across the country were facing problems due to the Corona situation in the last two years. We are in harmony with all the  boards and moving ahead."

Teachers of the schools welcomed this step of the higher secondary education. Going back to the old rules will really benefit the students, claimed teachers of several schools in Kolkata. The higher secondary examination of 2023 will start from March 14, it will end on March 27. 

All preparations for the examination have already been taken by the Higher Secondary Education Council. During the Puja, the officials of the council will hold meetings examination preparation meetings in aall the districts.
