Bamboo crafts in eco-tourism destinations of Kalimpong A seven-member visiti

Yowan Mothay, EOI, KALIMPONG, SEPTEMBER 26, 2022 : The launch of Bamboo Crafts marked the inauguration of Base Camp Adventure Tourism in Lower Santuk on Sunday, organized by Fun Santuk Social Entrepreneurship. 
Director of Edwards Foundation Ajay Edward, founder of Parya Tourism Sebastian Pradhan, and former member of Gorkhaland Territorial Administration constituency no. 37Kalpana Tamang attended the event. 
The Base Camp Adventure Tourism has been inaugurated to further  promote eco-tourism which has been started in the hills of Kalimpong for the last few years. Under adventure tourism, tourist can also go for bird watching and trekking. 
Craftsman Andrew Lepcha of Bamboo Crafts informed 18different items like cup, tray, pen, glass, jug and water bottle were on display. 
These had been crafted from bamboo found in the area. These could provide a means of employment for unemployed youths of the area.
