Arrested independent candidate for GTA poll gets bail

YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, JUNE 7 2022 : Independent candidate for Gorkhaland Territorial Administration election from constituency no. 35 Kunal Pradhan, who had been arrested by Kalimpong District police in connection with a case related to the statehood agitation of 2017, was granted bail on Tuesday.
His supporters flocked to the Kalimpong Correctional Home to welcome him and marched in a procession to Dumbar Chawk.
Pradhan said he had a lot of work todo for the people and was hopeful people of constituency no. 35 would make him victorious.
