The Telegraph | Calcutta | 05.04.22 : Bengal on Monday reported 12 new Covid-19 infections, 42 recoveries and no death.
This is the lowest number of cases the state reported after April 5, 2020.
According to the West Bengal Covid-19 bulletin on Monday, the state has 556 active cases, 506 in home isolation and 50 in hospitals.
The positive confirmation rate — or number of samples testing positive — was 0.15 per cent on Monday.
The state’s recovery rate was 98.92 per cent and mortality rate 1.05 per cent.
Bengal has more nearly 20.17 lakh cases, since the first was detected two years ago. The total includes over 19.94 lakh recoveries and 21,199 deaths.
