KalimNews, Kalimpong, 9 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

10 Death:

Death of 1 in Alipurduar, 1 in Jalpaiguri, 1 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 3 in Darjeeling and 4 in Jalpaiguri is recorded during the last 24 hours.

39 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 39 new cases, 80 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 39 new cases, and till today there are 68,731 confirmed cases of which 67,313 have recovered and 588 died while 830 are active cases.

5 in Kalimpong:

5 new cases, 14 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 5 new cases, and till today there are 8,437 confirmed cases of which 8,231 have recovered, 57 died and 149 are active cases.

31 in Alipurduar:

31 new cases 41 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 31 new cases, and till today there are 18,656 confirmed cases of which 18,115 have recovered and 109 died while 432 are active cases.

26 in Coochbehar: 

26 new cases, 45 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 26 new cases, and till today there are 33,802 confirmed cases of which 33,223 have recovered, 104 died and 475 are active cases.

46 in Jalpaiguri: 

46 new cases, 58 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 46 new cases, and till today there are 49,222 confirmed cases of which 637 died while 47,969 have recovered and 616 are active cases.

10 in Uttar Dinajpur:

10 new cases, 27 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 10 new cases, and till today, there are 25,007 confirmed cases of which 259 died while 24,474 have recovered and 274 are active cases.

20 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

20 new cases 32 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 20 new cases, and till today there are 22,885 confirmed cases of which 191 died while 22,361 have recovered and 333 are active cases.

36 in Malda:
