KalimNews, Kalimpong, 18 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

Death of 2 in Jalpaiguri is recorded during the last 24 hours.

6 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 6 new cases, 70 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 6 new cases, and till today there are 68,942 confirmed cases of which 67,951 have recovered and 596 died while 395 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new cases, 15 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, and till today there are 8,496 confirmed cases of which 8,358 have recovered, 57 died and 81 are active cases.

13 in Alipurduar:

13 new cases 43 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 13 new cases, and till today there are 18,841 confirmed cases of which 18,482 have recovered and 110 died while 249 are active cases.

9 in Coochbehar: 

9 new cases, 39 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 9 new cases, and till today there are 33,921 confirmed cases of which 33,589 have recovered, 106 died and 226 are active cases.

23 in Jalpaiguri: 

23 new cases, 62 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 23 new cases, and till today there are 49,519 confirmed cases of which 647 died while 48,506 have recovered and 366 are active cases.

4 in Uttar Dinajpur:

4 new cases, 23 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 4 new cases, and till today, there are 25,086 confirmed cases of which 265 died while 24,690 have recovered and 131 are active cases.

15 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

15 new cases 33 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 15 new cases, and till today there are 23,023 confirmed cases of which 193 died while 22,635 have recovered and 195 are active cases.

3 in Malda:
