KalimNews, Kalimpong, 24 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

2 Death:

Death of 1 in Uttar Dinajpur and 1 in Jalpaiguri is recorded during the last 24 hours.

14 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 14 new cases, 34 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 14 new cases, and till today there are 69,002 confirmed cases of which 68,297 have recovered and 599 died while 106 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new cases, 08 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, and till today there are 8,512 confirmed cases of which 8,431 have recovered, 58 died and 23 are active cases.

7 in Alipurduar:

7 new cases 25 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 7 new cases, and till today there are 18,899 confirmed cases of which 18,717 have recovered and 110 died while 72 are active cases.

1 in Coochbehar: 

1 new cases, 19 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 1 new cases, and till today there are 33,949 confirmed cases of which 33,791 have recovered, 106 died and 52 are active cases.

5 in Jalpaiguri: 

5 new cases, 34 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 5 new cases, and till today there are 49,577 confirmed cases of which 648 died while 48,836 have recovered and 93 are active cases.

4 in Uttar Dinajpur:

4 new cases, 11 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 4 new cases, and till today, there are 25,105 confirmed cases of which 268 died while 24,805 have recovered and 32 are active cases.

7 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

7 new cases 21 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 7 new cases, and till today there are 23,079 confirmed cases of which 193 died while 22,822 have recovered and 64 are active cases.

2 in Malda:  

2 new cases 25 releases were reported today from Malda. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 2 new cases, and till today there are 44,409 confirmed cases of which 44,143 have recovered and 199 died and 67 are active.
