Bengal shows the way: state government launches digital locker — Banglar I Cloud

PR, KalimNews, 24 Feb 22 : The West Bengal government has launched its own e-locker called Banglar ICloud, where individuals can avail all kinds of certificates they require.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched the e-locker at a meeting of the West Bengal Industry Promotion Board at the state secretariat Nabanna on Wednesday.

The design of the logo for the e-locker, including its name, is the brainchild of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. “With the launch of the e-locker, West Bengal gets its own digital locker,” Banerjee said.

The state government has claimed that even if any important documents of citizens are lost, they can be easily downloaded through this portal. Among the list of documents that can be obtained from the ICloud include birth certificate, caste certificate, death certificate and even vaccination certificates.

Banerjee added that certificates downloaded from the ICloud will be considered valid by all department officials.

Incidentally, the central government too has an e-locker called DigiLocker.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also launched an integrated portal for ease of doing business at Wednesday’s event at Nabanna.
