Weather Warning for the Region :
05 Feb : Rain or snow very likely to occur at many places over Sikkim & Darjeeling district of Sub Himalayan West Bengal. Rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Coochbehar & Alipurduar districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal ; likely at one or two places over Bihar, rest districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Murshidabad, Nadia, Birbhum districts of Gangetic West Bengal. Dry weather most likely over Odisha , Jharkhand and rest districts of Gangetic West Bengal. Shallow to moderate fog likely to prevail at one or two places over Odisha, Jharkhand and the districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
06 Feb : Rain or snow likely to occur at one or two places over Sikkim . Rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Dry weather most likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and the districts of West Bengal. Shallow to moderate fog likely to prevail at one or two places over Odisha and the districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
07 Feb : Rain or snow likely to occur at one or two places over Sikkim . Rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at many places over Nicobar Islands and likely at a few places over Andaman Islands . Dry weather most likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and the districts of West Bengal.
08 Feb : Rain or snow likely to occur at one or two places over Sikkim and Darjeeling district of Sub Himalayan West Bengal . Rain or thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over Andaman Islands and Kalimpong district of Sub Himalayan West Bengal . Dry weather most likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and rest districts of West Bengal.
Today’s minimum temperature rose appreciably at many places with marked rise at one or two places in Odisha; rose appreciably at a few places with marked rise at one or two places in Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal and rose appreciably at most places in Jharkhand, at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal. No large change occurred elsewhere in the region.
Those were above to appreciably above normal at many places with markedly above normal at one or two places in Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal; above to appreciably above normal at most places in Bihar and Jharkhand; appreciably above normal at one or two places in the plains of Sub Himalayan West Bengal; below normal at one or two places in the hilly regions of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and normal elsewhere in the region.
The lowest minimum temperature of 10.2 °C has been recorded at Forbesganj (Bihar) in the plains of the region.
Yesterday's induced Low Pressure Area over north Rajasthan & adjoining Haryana has become less marked. An east- west trough runs from north Haryana to southwest Bihar and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level. A north- south trough runs from southwest Bihar to north Telangana across Chhattisgarh & Vidarbha and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
