‘Eco-bricks will prevent pollution from plastics’

YOWAN MOTHAY, EOI, KALIMPONG, FEBRUARY 24, 2022: An eco-brick workshop was held in Kalimpong on Thursday to generate awareness how the use of plastic was affecting the environment and to use waste plastics to produce eco-bricks and thereby prevent environmental pollution.
The workshop was held as a joint project of Lagu Foundation and Eco-Bricks Kalimpong. Kalimpong Municipality vice president Bhim Agarwal and Mani Trust chariman Subash Mani Singh were present.
Global Eco-Bricks trainer Asim Khawas said people had now started taking eco-bricks seriously. People were now fabricating eco-bricks by conserving for months the plastics they had been using. Eco-Brick Kalimpong had developed a module for eco-brick and was using it. Now the plan was to make more people aware of it throughout the municipality.
