Wather warning/ forecast for the next five days : Major Weather System over the Region

Major Weather System over the Region 
Dense to very dense fog occurred at one or two places over Bihar. Dense fog occurred at one or two places over Odisha. Shallow to Moderate fog occurred at one or two places over Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand and the districts of West Bengal.
Weather remained dry over the entire region.
Today’s minimum temperature fell appreciably to markedly at a few places in Bihar; fell appreciably at a few places in Jharkhand & Gangetic West Bengal, and at one or two places in Odisha. No large change occurred elsewhere in the region.
Those were above to appreciably above normal at one or two places and below to appreciably below normal at a few places in Odisha; above normal at one or two places and below normal at one or two places in Bihar; below normal at a few places in Jharkhand; below to appreciably below normal at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, and normal elsewhere in the region.
The lowest minimum temperature of 6.7 °C has been recorded atAurangabad (Bihar) in the plains of the region.
Yesterday’s trough in westerlies in middle tropospheric levels along Long.90°E to the north of Lat. 22°N has moved away. Mainly North Westerly-Northerly wind prevails over the region.

Weather Warning for the Region During Next Five Days :•

Monday 17 Jan (Day-1) 1) Cold day conditions likely to prevail at one or two places over Bihar. 2) Dense fog (visibility : 50-199 m) likely to prevail at one or two places over Bihar, Odisha and Jalpaiguri, Malda, North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Murshidabad, Birbhum, West Burdwan districts of Gangetic West Bengal.

Tuesday 18 Jan (Day-2) 1) Cold day conditions likely to prevail at one or two places over Bihar. 2) Dense fog (visibility : 50-199 m) likely to prevail at one or two places over Bihar, Odisha, all the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Murshidabad, Birbhum, West Burdwan districts of Gangetic West Bengal.

Wednesday 19 Jan (Day-3) Dense fog (visibility : 50-199 m) likely to prevail at one or two places over Bihar, Odisha and Murshidabad, Birbhum, West Burdwan districts of Gangetic West Bengal. 

Thursday 20 Jan (Day-4) Nil.

Friday 21 Jan (Day-5) Nil.
