NGC requests PPS draft from all political parties


PR, KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21. November 21 :  National Gorkhaland  Committee has requested all political parties to share the PPS draft who are preparing draft proposals of Permanent Political Solution. It has requested them to invite and deliberate it with all the stake holders before any decision is taken as no political party has mandate singly to decide the aspirations of Gorkhas nor the people have authorized them  to do so. It was decided during a meeting of NGC held partially virtual and partially physical at a local hotel in Kalimpong, today. 
A press release stated that the meeting requested political parties preparing draft  proposal of  PPS, to invite and deliberate it with all the stake holders before any decision is taken as no political party has mandate singly to decide the aspirations of Gorkhas nor the people have authorized them to do so.
The meeting presided over by its Chairman, Lt. Gen. Shakti Gurung called upon the parties, groups, individuals aspiring for Gorkhaland to be on one side and the parties harping for development on the other side. The meeting said that there it is high time to demarcate between pro and against Gorkhaland or pro state PPS or separate state, the release added. 
It also mentioned that NGC is committed to the cause of creation of separate state of Gorkhaland or UT and therefore it supports all individuals, groups and political parties working for Gorkhaland, sincerely. In the same line the NGC has expressed its support to Gorkhaland Activists Group in their coming Delhi programm.It has called upon all the committed persons, groups and parties to come together for salvation of the Gorkha community.
The release adds, NGC appreciates the active role of local media in their efforts in analysis on hill politics vis a vis  separate state issue and it urges the local media to work more on positive side of creation of separate state.
