919 new cases, 8152 active cases, 14 death, 879 recovery,

KalimNews | November 03, 2021 : Presently the total number of active cases in the state is fluctuating, today it increased. Today 919 fresh cases of the contagion were reported, pushing the tally to 15,95,414, the bulletin released by the state health department said. The state  had reported 862 new infections yesterday. 245 new cases was reported from Kolkata, the highest among all the districts of the state.

The total number of active cases in the state increased by 26 to 8152 from 8126. 14 deaths due to coronavirus were reported during the day, taking the death toll to 19,174. 3 deaths were reported in North Bengal and the rest 11 deaths in South Bengal. The fatality rate is 1.20 per cent. 

Yesterday the state had registered 11 Covid-19 deaths. So far, 15,68,088 people were cured of the disease in West Bengal, including 879 in the last 24 hours.

The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 98.29 per cent. The positivity rate, which was 2.20 per cent yesterday, rose to 2.24 per cent today, the bulletin said. Yesterday, 41,017 samples had been tested for detecting the infection in the state taking the total number of such clinical examinations to 1,93,37,544 it said.

The number of people vaccinated today was 6,91,453. Cumulative vaccination till today was 7,95,76,526, of them 5,74,76,389 people were vaccinated with first dose and 2,21,00,137 with second dose.
