Out of 1020 tests done 171 test positive, 273 recovered from Covid-19. 
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 20 June 2021: Reports received from Darjeeling district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:

8 Dies
Niva Roy SIngha, 54 yr old of Milipara Dhupguri Jalpaiguri died of mucormycosis and Covid-19 today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 
Sikha Dey, 55 yr old of Asighar Jalpaiguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 
Shib kr Rai, 79 yr old of Naxalbari died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 
Chintan Ghose Roy, 32 yr old of Old Police Line Jalpaiguri died today in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri.
Nanda Kumar SIngh, 78 yr old of Kurseong died today in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri.
Ranjit Kumar Banerjee, 73 yr old of Uttarpara Hooghly died today in a nursing home at Himanchal Bihar Siliguri.
Aloke Kr Das, 55 yr old of Coochbehar died today in a nursing home at Himanchal Bihar Siliguri
Anil kumar Gupta, 56 yr old of Khalpara Siliguri died today in a nursing home at Matigara Siliguri.

171 tested positive Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
1020 swab samples received for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests in the districts of Darjeeling- 569, Kalimpong- 132, Jalpaiguri- 207, Alipurduar- 112. Of these samples 171 test positive.

75 in SMC:
75 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (46 in Darjeeling and 29 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive. 

184 in Darjeeling district:
184 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 46 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 
38 of the Hills (3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik, 14 in Bijanbari, 3 in Sukhiapokhari, 8 in Takdah)
100 of the plains (46 in Matigara, 10 in Naxalbari, 11 in Khoribari, 11 in Phansidewa, 22 in Sukuna) also test positive.

77 patients in NBMCH: (362 beds)
In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 77 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block there are 71 patients of which 35 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 15 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 15 in Covid Block III (Female Medicine II) and 1 in HDU (Trauma care centre) and 4 in surgical isolation ward.
Beside this 1 children are also admitted in the newly opened Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH having14 beds.
In addition to this during the last 24 hours, 6 serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 3 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and no patient in other Isolation ward -1. 

273 Discharged:
273 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
