10 die of Covid : 251 in Darj, 78 in Darj Hills, 81 in Plains, 107 in SMC test positive, 83 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH

Out of 1633 tests done 182 test positive, 251 recovered from Covid-19. 

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 June 2021: Reports received from district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:

10 Dies:

Sunil Banerjee, 72 yr old of Vidyasagar Palli Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Kalpana Choudhary, 79 yr old of Subhaspalli Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Narayan Chandra Dey, 84 yr old of Rabindra Sarani Bhaktinagar Jalpaiguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Md Khatubbuddin, 56 yr old of Mohanbhitta Rajgunj died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.

Jadav Pradhan, 59 yr old of Rimbick Bazar Darjeeling died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Shilpi Sarkar, 57 yr old of Ashighar More Ghughumali Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Deven Rai, 44 yr old of Bhirgaon Lodhama Darjeeling died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Dhani Soren, 68 yr old of Raigunj Uttar Dinajpur died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.

Sabita Das, 59 yr old of Kiranipara Jalpaiguri died today in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri. 

Purbasa Dhar, 44 yr old of Arabinda Palli Siliguri died today in a nursing home at Matigara Siliguri. 

182 tested positive Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH

1633 swab samples received for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests in the districts of Darjeeling- 710, Kalimpong- 127, Jalpaiguri- 239, Alipurduar- 557. Of these samples 182 test positive.

107 in SMC:

107 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (92 in Darjeeling and 15 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive. 

251 in Darjeeling district:

251 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 92 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

78 of the Hills (2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 9 in Mirik, 16 in Sukhiapokhari, 30 in Bijanbari, 16 in Takdah).

81 of the plains (40 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 3 in Khoribari, 11 in Phansidewa, 12 in Sukuna) also test positive.

83 patients in NBMCH: (314 beds)

In the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, 83 patients are being treated for Covid-19 and suspected Covid-19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. In the Covid block there are 73 patients of which 27 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 22 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 15 in Covid Block III (Female Medicine II) and 3 in HDU (Trauma care centre) and 6 in surgical isolation ward.

Beside this 4 children are also admitted in the newly opened Pediatric Covid Block of NBMCH having14 beds.

In addition to this during the last 24 hours, 6 serious patients are being treated in the two Isolation wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 3 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and no patient in other Isolation ward -1. 

251 Discharged:

251 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
