18 die of Covid : 509 in Darj, 32 in Darj Hills, 164 in Plains, 407 in SMC test positive, 147 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH

Out of 1410 tests done 510 test positive, 326 recovered from Covid-19. 

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 May 2021: Reports received from district administration and collected from other sources regarding death, new cases, recovery, testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:

18 Dies:

Sanjiv Singha, 34 yr old of Nayanjote Tarbandha Phansidewa Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Sandhya Das Sarkar, 75 yr old of Tarijote Shivmandir Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Prafulla kumar Roy, 65 yr old of Sustirhat Maynaguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Shova Rani Sharma, 75 yr old of Asighar Ghughumali Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Sandip Khawas, 47 yr old of Hyderpara Bhaktinagar Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Basanti Nehar, 65 yr old of Sukantanagar Ghughumali Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Hari pada Roy, 60 yr old of Jaleswar Asighar Jalpaiguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.

Rameshwari Devi, 65 yr old of Dakshin Shantinagar Dabgram Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH

Prafulla Chandan Das,  yr old of Dagapur Shalbari Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Kanti Gupta, 52 yr old of Kalimpong died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Ajay Krishna Sen, 79 yr old of Rashbehari Sarani Ward No 17 Siliguri died today in died today in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri.

Rakhi Debnath, 38 yr old of Khoribari died today in died today in a nursing home at Matigara Siliguri. 

510 tested positive Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH

1410 swab samples received for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests from the districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar - Total 1410.Of these 510 samples test positive.

407 in SMC:

407 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (313 in Darjeeling and 94 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive. 

509 in Darjeeling district:

509 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 313 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

32 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (15 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik, 3 in Bijanbari, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 6 in Takdah).

164 of the plains (90 in Matigara, 38 in Naxalbari, 14 in Khoribari, 16 in Phansidewa, 6 in Sukuna) also test positive.

147 patients in NBMCH:

147 patients are being treated for Covid- 19 and suspected Covid- 19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Out of this 52 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 36 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 40 in Covid Block III (Female Medicine) 

During the last 24 hours 12 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 6 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 7 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and 1 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in surgical isolation ward. 

326 Discharged:

326  patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
