KalimNews, Kalimpong, 3 May 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:

11 Death:
Parimal kr Roy, 68 yr old patient of Ashrampara Siliguri died today in Male Medicine 1 Ward of NBMCH.
Rupa Poddar, 52 yr old patient of Hyderpara Bhaktinagar Siliguri died today in Female Medicine 1 ward of NBMCH.
Abhisek kumar Gupta, 32 yr old patient of Ganganagar Siliguri Bazar died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Bulu Lama, 43 yr old patient of Narmada Tea Estate Champasari died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Sanchita Das, 30 yr old patient of 4 No Ghoomti Jalpaiguri died today in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri.
Sharabindu Mukhopadhyaya, 80-yr old patient of Alipurduar died today in a nursing home at Pradhan Nagar Siliguri.He was admitted on 28 April.
Sukumar chandra Mondal, 69 yr old patient of Babupara Jalpaiguri died today in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri.
Swarup Chandra Thakur, 64 yr old patient of Ghughumali Siliguri died today in a nursing home at Sevoke more Siliguri
Sasthi Nandi, 58 yr old patient of Purba Vivekanandapalli Siliguri died in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri.
Prasun Bagchi, 59 yr old patient of Kadamtala Jalpaiguri died today in a nursing home at Sevoke Road Siliguri.
Vivek Kaviraj, 52 yr old patient of Collegepara Siliguri died yesterday in in a nursing home at Hakimpara Siliguri.

Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
Total number of swab samples received for Reverse Transcription RTPCR Tests from the districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar is 1324.
Of these 323 samples test positive.

414 in SMC
414 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (287 in Darjeeling and 127 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive. 

630 in Darjeeling district:
Record 630 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 287 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 
83 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (22 in Darjeeling Municipality, 25 in Kurseong Municipality, 10 in Mirik, 13 in Bijanbari, 11 in Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Takdah).
247 of the plains (99 in Matigara, 69 in Naxalbari, 9 in Khoribari, 51 in Phansidewa, 29 in Sukuna) also test positive.

98 patients in NBMCH
98 patients are being treated for Covid- 19 and suspected Covid- 19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Out of this 68 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 13 in Covid Block II  (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).(Capacity 203 seats) 
During the last 24 hours 17 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 6 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 6 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and 5 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in surgical isolation ward. 

51 Discharged:
51 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
