9 death, 197 of Darjeeling district, 17 of Darjeeling Hills, 66 of Plains, 128 of SMC tested positive, 83 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH
Out of 1634 tests done 574 tested positive, 50 recovered from Covid-19.
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 28 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:
9 Death:
Amitav Dey, 63 yr old patient of Bhaktinagar Siliguri died last night in RICU Ward of NBMCH.
Lhendup Lepcha, 45 yr old of Sukuna died in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Dipak Rai, 35 yr old of Pradhan Nagar died in Male Medical-02 of NBMCH.
Anisha Khatun, 65 yr old of Chitalghata Phansidewa died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. She was admitted on 23 April.
Panja Ghose, 63 yr old of Mal Bazar died today in RICU ward of NBMCH.
Manoj kr Agarwal, 57 yr old of Bhagalpur Bihar died in a nursing home in Siliguri.
Sima Sanyal, 82 yr old of Collegepara died in a nursing home in Hill Cart Road Siliguri.
Chapal Sinha, 62 yr old of Collegepara died in a nursing home in Hill Cart Road Siliguri.
Kiran Devi, yr old of Bhagalpur Bihar died in a nursing home in Siliguri.
Test report received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH
Total number of swab samples received for RTPCR Tests from the districts of Darjeeling- 631, Kalimpong- 182, Jalpaiguri –335, Alipurduar-486 is 1634.
Of these 574 samples tested positive.
128 in SMC
128 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (114 in Darjeeling and 14 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive.
197 in Darjeeling district:
Record 197 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 114 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
Beside this 114 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
17 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (7 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Mirik, 2 in Bijanbari, 4 in Sukhiapokhari,).
66 of the plains 44 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 1 in Phansidewa, 6 in Sukuna) also tested positive.
83 patients in NBMCH:
83 patients are being treated for Covid- 19 and suspected Covid- 19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Out of this, 71 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).(Capacity 203 seats)
During the last 24 hours 12 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 6 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and 4 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in surgical isolation ward.
50 Discharged:
50 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments
