KalimNews, Kalimpong, 25 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:

10 Death:

Gautam Dutta, 40 yr old patient of Sahudangi Hat- Siliguri died today in NBMCH.

Ava Biswas, 71 yr old of New Circular Road -Jalpaiguri died today in CCU (Covid Ward) of NBMCH. Admitted on 16 April.

Shipra Joardar, 58 yr old of 18 khai Shivmandir Matigara died today in CCU (Covid Ward) of NBMCH.

Sefali Adhikari 56 yr old of Deshbandhupara died today in NBMCH.

Gangaram Rai of Phub Tshering Tea Estate died in Sadar Hospital Darjeeling

Keshav Rai, 48 yr old of Dumaram Busty Kurseong died in nursing home in Dr. Chhang's SS Hospital Siliguri

S Sharma of St. Marys Kurseong died in nursing home in Dr. Chhang's SS Hospital Siliguri

Father Mangal Kerketta, 58 yr old of St. Alphonsus School Kurseong died in Dr. Chhang's SS Hospital Siliguri

Kartik Kujur 61 yr old of Bagdogra died today in a nursing home of Sevoke Road Siliguri.

Rekha Basak 55 yr old Aravinda Palli Siliguri in a nursing home of Hill Cart Road Siliguri.

107 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (84 in Darjeeling and 23 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

203 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 203 positive cases of the district, 84 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

14 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (5 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Mirik, 2 in Bijanbari, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Takdah).

105 of the plains (54 in Matigara, 44 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa, 2 in Khoribari 3 in Sukuna) tested positive.

348 in Darjeeling:

During the last 48 hours 348 new cases, 185 release is reported from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 348 new cases, 21874 confirmed cases of which 19726 have recovered and 214 died while 1934 are active cases.

39 in Kalimpong:

39 new cases, 8 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 39 new cases, 2457 confirmed cases of which 2301 have recovered, 28 died and 128 are active cases.

27 in Alipurduar:

27 new cases, 16 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 27 new cases, 8039 confirmed cases of which 7778 have recovered and 87 died while 174 are active cases.

140 in Coochbehar: 

140 new cases, 57 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 140 new cases, 12827 confirmed cases of which 12154 have recovered, 72 died and 601 are active cases.

151 in Jalpaiguri: 

151 new cases, 115 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 151 new cases, 16675 confirmed cases of which 178 died while 15448 have recovered and 1049 are active cases.

203 in Uttar Dinajpur:

203 new cases, 107 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 203 new cases, 8836 confirmed cases of which 79 died while 7521 have recovered and 1236 are active cases.

151 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

151 new cases, 53 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 151 new cases, 9084 confirmed cases of which 76 died while 8499 have recovered and 509 are active cases.

644 in Malda:  

644 new cases, 406 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 644 new cases, 19152 confirmed cases of which 15183 have recovered and 14 died and 3828 are active cases.

39 Discharged:

39 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

79 patients in NBMCH

Out of total 79 patients 65 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 14 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 7 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and 3 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in surgical isolation ward. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 48 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 348 new cases, 21874 confirmed cases of which 19726 have recovered and 214 died while 1934 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 39 new cases, 2457 confirmed cases of which 2301 have recovered, 28 died and 128 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 27 new cases, 8039 confirmed cases of which 7778 have recovered and 87 died while 174 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 140 new cases, 12827 confirmed cases of which 12154 have recovered, 72 died and 601 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 151 new cases, 16675 confirmed cases of which 178 died while 15448 have recovered and 1049 are active cases.
