0 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs- 

2 in Alipurduar, 5 in Coochbehar, 17 in Jalpaiguri, 7 in Uttar Dinajpur, 5 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 40 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 4 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

1 Death:

Rajen Chakraborty, 56 yr old  of South Colony, MalBazar died in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 681, Kalimpong- 87, Jalpaiguri - 520, Alipurduar-137; TOTAL= 1163.

Of these 36 tested positive.

9 in SMC

9 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (8 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

11 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 11 positive cases of the district, 8 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.

1 case is reported from the Darjeeling Hills ( Kurseong) and 2 cases from the plains (2 in Matigara) 

Darjeeling district records 40 new cases,18739 confirmed cases of which 18398 have recovered and 204 died while 137 are active cases.

6 in Kalimpong:

6 new case, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 6 new cases, 2252 confirmed cases of which 2213 have recovered, 27 died and 12 are active cases.

2 in Alipurduar:

2 new cases, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7740 confirmed cases of which 7644 have recovered and 86 died while 10 are active cases.

5 in Coochbehar: 

5 new cases, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 5 new cases, 11909 confirmed cases of which 11807 have recovered, 72 died and 30 are active cases.

17 in Jalpaiguri: 

17 new cases, 3 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 17 new cases, 14845 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14621 have recovered and 60 are active cases.

7 in Uttar Dinajpur:

7 new cases, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 7 new cases, 6899 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6712 have recovered and 109 are active cases.

5 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

5 new cases, 2 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 5 new cases, 8229 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8121 have recovered and 34 are active cases.

40 in Malda:  

40 new cases, 6 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 40 new cases, 12965 confirmed cases of which 12686 have recovered and 114 died and 165 are active cases.

0 Discharged:

0 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

0 admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). .

During the last 24 hours 5 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). Of them 2 are Covid patients while 3 are suspected Covid patients. There are 5 patients (1 of Jalpaiguri tested positive other 1 of Siliguri) in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, but no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and in Isolation ward -1.

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 40 new cases,18739 confirmed cases of which 18398 have recovered and 204 died while 137 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 6 new cases, 2252 confirmed cases of which 2213 have recovered, 27 died and 12 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7740 confirmed cases of which 7644 have recovered and 86 died while 10 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 5 new cases, 11909 confirmed cases of which 11807 have recovered, 72 died and 30 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 17 new cases, 14845 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14621 have recovered and 60 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur records 7 new cases, 6899 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6712 have recovered and 109 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur records 5 new cases, 8229 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8121 have recovered and 34 are active cases.

Malda records 40 new cases, 12965 confirmed cases of which 12686 have recovered and 114 died and 165 are active cases.
