KalimNews, Kalimpong, 7 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

4 Death:

Johar Prasad, 76 yr old patient of Ghosepara, SIliguri:

Dinesh Ghose, 70 yr old patient of Vidyasagarpalli, Siliguri:

Usha Rani Saha, patient of Madhya Shantinagar died in a nursing home at Sevoke Road.

Bhabesh ch Dutta, patient of Rabindranagar died .

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 925, Kalimpong- 129, Jalpaiguri – 865, Alipurduar-354 TOTAL= 1356

Of these 84 tested positive 

32 in SMC

32 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (19 in Darjeeling and 13 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

31 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 31 positive cases of the district, 19 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 12 of the plains (5 in Matigara, 7 in Naxalbari) 

50 new cases, 18 release reported today from Darjeeling. Darjeeling district records 50 new cases,18848 confirmed cases of which 18437 have recovered and 204 died while 207 are active cases.

2 in Kalimpong:

2 new case, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 2 new case, 2255 confirmed cases of which 2216 have recovered, 27 died and 12 are active cases.

3 in Alipurduar:

3 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 3 new cases, 7755 confirmed cases of which 7648 have recovered and 86 died while 21 are active cases.

5 in Coochbehar: 

5 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 5 new cases, 11925 confirmed cases of which 11812 have recovered, 72 died and 41 are active cases.

16 in Jalpaiguri: 

16 new cases, 5 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 16 new cases, 14889 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14640 have recovered and 85 are active cases.

23 in Uttar Dinajpur:

23 new cases, 6 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 23 new cases, 6990 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6732 have recovered and 180 are active cases.

1 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

1 new case, 2 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 1 new case, 8254 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8126 have recovered and 54 are active cases.

82 new cases, 11 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 82 new cases, 13138 confirmed cases of which 12727 have recovered and 115 died and 296 are active cases.

0 patient have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

0 admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 5 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and in Isolation ward -1.
