KalimNews, Kalimpong, 8 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

0 Death:

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 1030, Kalimpong- 119, Jalpaiguri – 632, Alipurduar-356 TOTAL= 2137

Of these 33 tested positive 

58 in SMC

58 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (48 in Darjeeling and 10 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

79 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 79 positive cases of the district, 48 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 22 of the plains (18 in Matigara, 3 in Naxalbari and 1 in Khoribari) 

9 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Mirik and 7 in Takdah) 

and 14 cases from the plains (9 in Matigara, 4 in Naxalbari, 1 in Phansidewa) 

22 new cases, 17 release reported today from Darjeeling. Darjeeling district records 22 new cases,18870 confirmed cases of which 18454 have recovered and 204 died while 212 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, 2257 confirmed cases of which 2217 have recovered, 27 died and 13 are active cases.

2 new cases, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 2 new case, 2255 confirmed cases of which 2216 have recovered, 27 died and 12 are active cases.

0 new case, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 0 new case, 7755 confirmed cases of which 7650 have recovered and 86 died while 19 are active cases.

5 in Coochbehar: 

5 new cases, 3 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 5 new cases, 11930 confirmed cases of which 11815 have recovered, 72 died and 43 are active cases.

36 in Jalpaiguri: 

36 new cases, 9 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 36 new cases, 14925 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14649 have recovered and 112 are active cases.

24 in Uttar Dinajpur:

24 new cases, 12 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 24 new cases, 7014 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6744 have recovered and 192 are active cases.

8 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

8 new case, 4 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 8 new cases, 8262 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8130 have recovered and 58 are active cases.

116 in Malda:  

116 new cases, 16 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 116 new cases, 13254 confirmed cases of which 12743 have recovered and 116 died and 395 are active cases.

2 Discharged:

2 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

4 admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 7 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 1 patient in Surgical isolation ward and 1 patient in Isolation ward -1 and no patients in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward.
