23 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs- 

2 in Alipurduar, 10 in Coochbehar, 32 in Jalpaiguri, 26 in Uttar Dinajpur, 21 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 108 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 12 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

3 Death:

Pradip Sarkar, 60 yr old patient of Gangarampur- Dakshin Dinajpur

Sudhir Ray, 41 yr old patient of Champasari Siliguri

Ashoke Nag, 69 yr old patient of Shivmandir Siliguri died in RICU ward of NBMCH

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 127, Kalimpong- 12, Jalpaiguri – 267, Alipurduar-143 TOTAL= 568  

Of these 48 tested positive.

54 in SMC

54 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (28 in Darjeeling and 26 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

71 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 71 positive cases of the district, 28 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

10 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (5 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Bijanbari, 2 in Takdah ) 

33 of the plains (19 in Matigara, 3 in Khoribari, 10 in Naxalbari and 1 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

66 new cases, 35 release reported today from Darjeeling.State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 66 new cases,19142 confirmed cases of which 18552 have recovered and 204 died while 386 are active cases.

2 in Kalimpong:

2 new cases, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, 2273 confirmed cases of which 2222 have recovered, 27 died and 24 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7786 confirmed cases of which 7663 have recovered and 86 died while 37 are active cases.

12 in Coochbehar: 

12 new cases, 6 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 12 new cases, 11984 confirmed cases of which 11837 have recovered, 72 died and 75 are active cases.

45 in Jalpaiguri: 

45 new cases, 16 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 45 new cases, 15085 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14708 have recovered and 213 are active cases.

73 in Uttar Dinajpur:

73 new cases, 44 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 73 new cases, 7187 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6827 have recovered and 282 are active cases.

18 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

18 new cases, 10 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 18 new cases, 8354 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8163 have recovered and 117 are active cases.

193 in Malda:  

193 new cases, 48 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 193 new cases, 13805 confirmed cases of which 12881 have recovered and 116 died and 808 are active cases.

23 Discharged:

23 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

22 patients in NBMCH

Out of 22 patients 15 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 7 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 2 in Isolation ward -1 but no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 66 new cases,19142 confirmed cases of which 18552 have recovered and 204 died while 386 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, 2273 confirmed cases of which 2222 have recovered, 27 died and 24 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7786 confirmed cases of which 7663 have recovered and 86 died while 37 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 12 new cases, 11984 confirmed cases of which 11837 have recovered, 72 died and 75 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 45 new cases, 15085 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14708 have recovered and 213 are active cases.
