11 in Alipurduar, 5 in Coochbehar, 12 in Jalpaiguri, 40 in Uttar Dinajpur, 5 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 37 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

2 Death:

A 77 yr old patient of Rabindranagar died in a nursing home at Sevoke Road.

Another 76 yr old patient of Ghosepara died in NBMCH.

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 883, Kalimpong- 72, Jalpaiguri - 566, Alipurduar-58; TOTAL= 1579.

Of these 18 tested positive (7 tested positive in repeat test).

16 in SMC

16 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (8 in Darjeeling and 8 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

14 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 14 positive cases of the district, 8 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.1 of Darjeeling Hills and 5 new cases of the plains reported.

1 in Sukhiapokhari,1 in Matigara,1 in Naxalbari,3 in Phansidewa tested positive,

0 new case, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 0 new case, 2253 confirmed cases of which 2215 have recovered, 27 died and 11 are active cases.

11 new cases, 1 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 11 new cases, 7752 confirmed cases of which 7646 have recovered and 86 died while 20 are active cases.

5 in Coochbehar: 

5 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 5 new cases, 11920 confirmed cases of which 11810 have recovered, 72 died and 38 are active cases.

12 in Jalpaiguri: 

12 new cases, 8 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 12 new cases, 14873 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14635 have recovered and 74 are active cases.

40 in Uttar Dinajpur:

40 new cases, 8 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 40 new cases, 6967 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6726 have recovered and 163 are active cases.

5 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

5 new cases, 2 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 5 new cases, 8253 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8124 have recovered and 55 are active cases.

37 in Malda:  

37 new cases, 15 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 37 new cases, 13056 confirmed cases of which 12716 have recovered and 115 died and 225 are active cases.

1 Discharged:

1 patient have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

0 admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 5 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and in Isolation ward -1.
