KalimNews, Kalimpong, 30 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:

10 Death:
Bidyut Baran Dutta, 78 yr old of Laketown Navagram Bhaktinagar died last night in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Bikash Kanti Adhikari, 78 yr old patient of Ashrampara Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Mohanlal Pramanik, 61 yr old patient of Ranadip Colony Matigara died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Chandra Kanta Dubey, 45 yr old patient of Champasari Pradhannagar died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Ramdev Mullick, 68 yr old patient of Harey Krishna Palli Bagdogra  died today in Male Medicine ward -1(ID ward) of NBMCH.
Chandana Paul, 66 yr old patient of Subhas Palli Siliguri died today in RICU Ward of NBMCH.
Namita Roy, 69 yr old patient of Deshbandhupara Siliguri died today in in RICU Ward of NBMCH.
Amarenda Sarkar, 68 yr old of Sukantapalli Siliguri died today in a in a nursing home in Sevoke Road Siliguri.
Jogendra Bhagat, 65 yr old of Purnea Bihar died today in a nursing home in Sevoke Road Siliguri.
Subhendu Sarkar, 63 yr old patient of Alipurduar died today in a nursing home in Sevoke Road Siliguri.

Test report received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH
Total number of swab samples received for RTPCR Tests from the districts of Darjeeling- 654, Kalimpong- 123, Jalpaiguri– 500, Alipurduar- 429 is 1706.
Of these 323 samples tested positive.

214 in SMC
214 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (175 in Darjeeling and 39 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

337 in Darjeeling district:
Record 337 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 175 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 
22 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (7 in Darjeeling Municipality, 6 in Mirik, 3 in Bijanbari, 3 in Sukhiapokhari, 3 in Takdah).
140 of the plains (88 in Matigara, 41 in Naxalbari, 1 in Khoribari, 4 in Phansidewa, 6 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

79 patients in NBMCH
79 patients are being treated for Covid- 19 and suspected Covid- 19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Out of this 66 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).(Capacity 203 seats)
During the last 24 hours 13 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 4 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and 5 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in surgical isolation ward. 

67 Discharged:
67 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
