14 in Alipurduar, 12 in Coochbehar, 98 in Jalpaiguri, 80 in Uttar Dinajpur, 40 in Dakshin Dinajpur, 249 in Malda district tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

1 Death:

Tanushree Guha Roy, 30 yr old patient of 5 no Ward in Mal Bazar died in NBMCH.

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 941, Kalimpong- 150, Jalpaiguri – 421, Alipurduar-366,  TOTAL= 1878 

Of these 204 tested positive.

90 in SMC

90 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (51 in Darjeeling and 39 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

109 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 109 positive cases of the district, 51 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

7 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Takdah, 1 in Bijanbari) 

50 of the plains (24 in Matigara, 19 in Naxalbari, 2 in Khoribari and 2 in Phansidewa, 3 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

109 new cases, 38 release reported today from Darjeeling.State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 109 new cases,19364 confirmed cases of which 18628 have recovered and 204 died while 532 are active cases.

14 in Kalimpong:

14 new cases, 2 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 14 new cases, 2298 confirmed cases of which 2225 have recovered, 27 died and 46 are active cases.

12 in Alipurduar:

12 new case, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 12 new case, 7819 confirmed cases of which 7672 have recovered and 86 died while 61 are active cases.

22 in Coochbehar: 

22 new cases, 6 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 22 new cases, 12021 confirmed cases of which 11854 have recovered, 72 died and 95 are active cases.

98 in Jalpaiguri: 

98 new cases, 27 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 98 new cases, 15249 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14756 have recovered and 329 are active cases.

80 in Uttar Dinajpur:

80 new cases, 18 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 80 new cases, 7345 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6858 have recovered and 409 are active cases.

40 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

40 new cases, 10 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 40 new cases, 8397 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8186 have recovered and 137 are active cases.

249 in Malda:  

249 new cases, 74 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 249 new cases, 14203 confirmed cases of which 13017 have recovered and 116 died and 1070 are active cases.

0 Discharged:

0 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

39 patients in NBMCH

Out of 39 patients 30 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 9 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 6 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 3 in Isolation ward -1 but no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 109 new cases,19364 confirmed cases of which 18628 have recovered and 204 died while 532 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 14 new cases, 2298 confirmed cases of which 2225 have recovered, 27 died and 46 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 12 new case, 7819 confirmed cases of which 7672 have recovered and 86 died while 61 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 22 new cases, 12021 confirmed cases of which 11854 have recovered, 72 died and 95 are active cases.
