KalimNews, Kalimpong, 11 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

0 Death:

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 974, Kalimpong- 121, Jalpaiguri – 512, Alipurduar-0 TOTAL= 1138

Of these 71 tested positive.

40 in SMC

40 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (27 in Darjeeling and 13 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

53 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 53 positive cases of the district, 27 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

7 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 4 in Bijanbari, 2 in Sukhiapokhari ) 

19 of the plains (9 in Matigara, 8 in Naxalbari and 2 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

82 new cases, 18 release reported today from Darjeeling.State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 82 new cases,19076 confirmed cases of which 18517 have recovered and 204 died while 355 are active cases.

5 in Kalimpong:

0 new case, 2 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 0 new case, 2271 confirmed cases of which 2221 have recovered, 27 died and 23 are active cases.

2 in Alipurduar:

2 new cases, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7785 confirmed cases of which 7659 have recovered and 86 died while 40 are active cases.

10 in Coochbehar: 

10 new cases, 6 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 10 new cases, 11972 confirmed cases of which 11831 have recovered, 72 died and 69 are active cases.

32 in Jalpaiguri: 

32 new cases, 18 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 32 new cases, 15040 confirmed cases of which 164 died while 14692 have recovered and 184 are active cases.

26 in Uttar Dinajpur:

26 new cases, 19 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 26 new cases, 7114 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6783 have recovered and 253 are active cases.

21 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

21 new cases, 11 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 21 new cases, 8336 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8153 have recovered and 109 are active cases.

108 in Malda:  

108 new cases, 41 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 108 new cases, 13612 confirmed cases of which 12833 have recovered and 116 died and 663 are active cases.

0 Discharged:

0 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

19 patients in NBMCH

Out of 19 patients 12 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 7 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 6 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 1 in Isolation ward -1 but no patients in Surgical isolation ward and  in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 82 new cases,19076 confirmed cases of which 18517 have recovered and 204 died while 355 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 5 new cases, 2271 confirmed cases of which 2221 have recovered, 27 died and 23 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7785 confirmed cases of which 7659 have recovered and 86 died while 40 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 10 new cases, 11972 confirmed cases of which 11831 have recovered, 72 died and 69 are active cases.
